The 3 Day Fast: Day 2
Today was actually easier than yesterday. Sort of...
The good news is that I no longer have the feeling of hunger. Which is a huge relief.
The bad news is that I have very little energy. I just have no ambition to anything. I walked to the bank today. That took a lot of energy out of me.
Random Thoughts
TV is a savior because I do not need to think. However the food comercials make me want to eat my own arm.
My sleep pattern is really messed up. I woke up at 8, then went back to bed at 10 and slept till noon. Then I went to sleep again at 5 and woke up at 6:30. I am interested to see how tonight will go. I have a feeling that it will be very sporadic.
I can not wait to eat on Friday. It isn't that I'm hungry and want food, I just miss the taste of food in my mouth. I have had the same bland taste in my mouth for the last two days and I'm sick of it.
Also, to clear things up I am on a water only fast. I would not survive without water.
Short and sweet,

Maybe if you would have DROVE to the bank then you wouldn’t have wasted your valuable energy… Pssh you act though like fasting for three days is hard

Maybe if you came out tonight and drank BOOZE alcoholic bevarages you wouldn’t feel so thirsty. Just my own personal opinion. Or if you ate food– that might help. I have some leftover tater tot casserole you can eat. or tomorrow i am making some chili. tempting?

Shea,
If I have an alcoholic beverage bad things would happen inside my body. Your food sound very good. Can you hold off on the chili till Friday? Then I will eat 4 bowls of it!

I have done it thats why I said its easy. Hunger is all mental so if you can get really busy or have a lot of very troubling things on your mind for several days in a row its not hard to go that whole time without being hungry

Moose,
The average person does not have the will power to go without food for any period of time. And I would never go as far as saying that it is an easy thing to do. I suppose if a person was extremely emotionally distraught and they did it without consciously realizing what they were doing, then it would be considered “easy”.
You are correct that it is mostly a mental thing. I applaud you for your self determination.
Thanks for the comment

Ha. Wow, this fast is taking a toll on you a bit. To comment on your comment to Shea.. Wouldn’t downing 4 bowls of chili defeat the purpose? haha I’m thinking that you are speaking in on of those situations where your eyes and tastebuds are bigger than your stomach! Also, some people are better at the whole not eating thing than others, I agree. I’ve known people who wouldn’t eat food for a few days simply because they were depressed about something.. Crazy! So eating is really a mental thing. It’s going to taste amazing when you can eat again! Only a few more hours!

” Downing four bowls of chili will defeat the purpose”
Losing weight is not my goal in doing this. I have to main reasons why I am fasting. One is to re-invent my love for food and two is give my body a chance to heal itself without anything being in its way. And you are absolutly correct in saying that my eyes and taste buds are way bigger than my stomach! Tomorrow when I eat again I will have like one egg and be full. However, egg will probably be the best egg I have ever had!
If anybody out their actually fasts without changing their diet, then they will be defeating the purpose. The weight they lost will be gained back even faster than they lost it because fasting dramatically lowers our metabolism.
Luckily I have never been depressed enough to not eat food. I believe that is as much a mental thing as consciously not eating food. Thats my opinion though. Touchy subject
Thanks again for the great comments!

I mean defeat the purpose of the fast… I dont think thats very good for your body to endure 4 bowls of chili the day of being off a 3 day fast.. I feel like bad things will happen in your GI tract lol… but what I do know? I’ve never done it haha. Just clarifying what I meant! I obviously know your goal is not to lose weight haha.
